Sleeping difficulties often accommodate various phases of Bipolar Disorder. If a person is in the manic phase, then he or she may not be able to sleep or may only be able to sleep for a few hours. If, however, the person is in the depression phase, he or she may not even have the strength and energy to get up in the morning.
