Lemon pepper is the perfect match to seafood dishes. Many other savory meals also have their taste enhanced by adding this invaluable spice. It is packed with potassium, vitamin C and calcium.

You need:

  • Five to Six Organic Lemons
  • Half a Cup of Crushed Peppercorns
  • Half a Cup of Kosher Salt

Create zest from the peel of five to six large lemons. Mix the zest with the crushed black peppercorns before placing on a lined baking tray. Preheat your oven to the lowest setting before placing the lemon pepper mix in the oven. Allow it to dry out. This process takes an hour on average, although can take longer. Once try crushing the mix in a spice grinder, or using a mortar and pestle. When the consistency has reached that of salt, mix in the kosher salt and blend well. Store your lemon pepper in a spice dispenser or airtight bottle for extended periods up to one year.
