10. Mind Their Panting

People usually assume that a panting dog is just a sign that they are excited, or merely tired, but it can potentially be something more serious.

While panting is usually nothing to worry about, severe panting can be a sign of heat exhaustion. If your dog is panting for longer than a couple minutes, take them somewhere cool, give them water, or even put a wet towel on them. If there is no improvement after this, please take your dog to a vet.
