2. Hot Car? Don’t Leave Your Pets In It

It’s become a major problem for people when they’re passing by and see a dog or cat locked in a hot car.

In some cases, people have even taken control of the situation themselves, breaking into the car and retrieving the animal to save it from the heat. Usually, law enforcement ends up getting involved in the situation, and no one wants to be involved with the chaos that usually ensues.

Avoid this altogether by never leaving your animals in a hot vehicle. If you absolutely must leave them for one or two minutes, leave your windows cracked, or if you’re with other people, have one of them stay in the car with the air conditioning on.
