10. Lactose, Fructose, Gluten or other types of digestive intolerances.
Food intolerances are when the body has difficulty digesting certain foods. The symptoms of food intolerances generally occur several hours after eating specific foods and may continue for several days. In some cases, the actual symptoms may take up to 48 hours to show up. For example, Lactose intolerance means that the body does not digest lactose very well, which is a natural type of sugar found in dairy products and milk.
Fructose intolerance means that the body does not properly digest sugars that are naturally found in honey, fruit juices, fruits, and certain vegetables. In addition, this type of “fruit” sugar is found in table sugar and high-fructose corn syrup, which is often used to sweeten beverages and processed foods.
Gluten intolerance is caused by a reaction to a gluten protein known as Gliadin, which is found in rye, barley, wheat, and occasionally in oats.
So, as we can see, eating fruit with meat is not unhealthy in and of itself. The problem occurs if you happen to have other digestive issues that are going on within your body. So, the best advice is to always listen to your body, keep a list of your symptoms, consult a qualified medical doctor or holistic physician, and do your own research in order to find out what is causing your particular digestion problems.
